We did a little experiment in class...we gave groups of students a cotton swab and they picked a location in the school to swab and we rolled it in a petri dish.  This is what is growing...

Book Project Info

Here is the Book Project Information in case you have lost it...

4th Grade End of Year Book Report & Project Guidelines

You will use your realistic fiction book for this project.  Due December 13th 2011
Paragraph Form: This report must be written in paragraph form. Don’t forget to have a topic sentence and to include supporting details. Your report may be written in block format or indented format.
Title Page: Put a complete heading on the first page of your report:

Name ,Grade, Language Arts, Book Report, and Date

On other pages, be sure to add the page numbers.
Grade: The book report will be graded for content, sentence structure, and form. Be sure to check spelling, neatness, and paragraph structure.
Book reports must be your own work. Do not copy from another person or a book.

First Section

General information: Title, author, date of publication, number of pages, type of book, setting, and time period. This section does not need to be in paragraph form.
Second Section
Description of Plot: Explain what happened in the story by writing a paragraph summary for the book.

Third Section

Major Characters: Describe the major characters and explain how they are important to the story. You must have a separate sentence for each major character.

Fourth Section

Recommendation: Who should read this book? Why? How difficult is it? What age group should read it?
Fifth Section
Glossary: Define five unfamiliar or challenging words from the book. This section does not need to be in paragraph form.
Sixth Section
Review: Give your opinion of the book. Explain why you like or dislike the book.

Math Score

Math Score is a new program we are using at Woodlands Prep and we would like for each student to get on for at least 15 minutes each night to do an activity.  We are emailed each time a student completes an activity and we will use these scores at times for homework grades.  Please see below for information on logging in.
